Based on your reading of the book, what are your impressions (thoughts, ideas, beliefs)of the Holocaust? In your answer, relate back Annemarie's and Ellen's experiences.
I thought that the Holocaust was being unfair. Everybody has the right to be themselves. I think that nobody should ever feel pressured for who they are.
My impression of the holocaust is that it was a time period were people minded other's people religions, which was the jewish religion and I thought it was horrible thing just because in what people believed in.
My impressions about the Holocaust is that it was a bad event because it was like you couldnt express there religion or beliefs. Annemarie & Ellen thought it was pretty stupid because they shouldnt care what people think of your beliefs.
I think the haolocaust was a horrible thing because I dont think the nazis should have done thatl. Because based on ellens experience it was a harsh time for anyone jewish or anything like that.
My impressions that i had were that this is a very good book and shows details that what people are going trough whiw makes me think about more thing that the jewish people were going trough
my impresions so far are that it is a really good book it talks about the holocaust and how hard it is to be jewish and to have a jewish friend first of all you have to be hidden all the time, second you have rights but not in europe., denmark. it is a good book and i do recommend the book to someone who wants to know how it is to be jewish in world war 2
My thoughts about the Holocaust is sympathy for the Jews and anger towards the Germans. I couldn't believe how they were treated and what they were forced to do. It's a good novel to give you a short story on how life was when the war between Jews and Germans began. For example when Ellen was tooken away to hiding because she was Jew. It's Disrespectful and Rude to think that low of a set of people.
My impression on the book was that it was a really good book so far but i think the guards that were in every corner were really mean to annemarie and ellen. Also i thought it was mean that the war that was going on caused the people to lose food and die. Also i thought it was sad that annemaries mom was drinkink hot water and pretending to drink coffe. But i really like the book.
My thoughts about the Holocaust was first anger. How could someone cause so much pain and despair and not feel one thing? I personally felt like the Nazis were cold and emotionless people. The Holocaust is something that should never be forgotten. Everything that happened to those innocent people was horrible and something people everywhere should learn about.
My impression on the holocaust was the nazis tortured the jews like animals treated them as if their were worthless and didnt care if they were killing an elderly or a baby.
my impresion are that the holocaust might be scary and dificult to be jewish you have to hide all the time, then you have no rights to go outside. having a friend that is jewish is hard becuase you kind of can't see them. but this is a really good book that i would recommend to people who want to know what the holocaust is like or how world war 2
thought that hitler really created the word racist. Because he believed that germans were a super human race. When really there are only 3 races in the world. Just because someone is from a different ethinic group does not mean there dumber than you are there skin tone is really the only difference
I think that the Holocaust is a is a cruel war because they only wanted to kill the jewish people and no one else. My idea would be to ask them how they would feel if they were to get killed. In my opinion, I think it would be hard to live during the Holocaust because they had to move to a lot of places so that they can hide from the soldiers.
